Aug. 19, 2025—Representatives from WGNO Sorority Nu House visited the staff at Smith Middle School on Aug. 11 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Donna Coble, Nu House captain, expressed enthusiasm for supporting students and teachers at Smith.

“It’s really important to us as a sorority to give back,” Coble said. “We appreciate everything that teachers do, and we are excited to pour back into a community that pours relentlessly into our children.”

Janea' Dennis, Smith principal, expressed gratitude to WGNO Sorority Nu House for their commitment to support the campus.

“We are thrilled and incredibly grateful to partner with WGNO Sorority Nu House in support of Smith Middle School,” Dennis said. “This partnership will open doors to new opportunities, resources and experiences that will enrich our students’ education and strengthen our school community. This is more than a partnership; it’s an investment in the future of every Sabercat, and its positive impact will be felt for years to come.
